Online betting site William Hill have made yet another bold move in their continued expansion as they have teamed up with major North American sports network ESPN. The free ESPN goals app for mobile devices allows North American football followers to watch video clips of the goals from the Barclays Premier League. With William Hill’s deal to become the exclusive betting partner of the ESPN Goal app, from December of 2012, live prices will be displayed on the app, featuring a Bet Now button.
This is a major step forward in providing live in play betting for William Hill, who branched out their business into Nevada this year and are still pursuing the purchase of SportingBet. Users of the ESPN Goals app will now be able to bet on all the action in the Barclays Premier League as it happens thanks to William Hill, who will provide the branded Betting Zone inside the app. The William Hill branded part of the app will not make users leave the app, it will all be done inside.
The branding of William Hill will be seen everywhere across the app, not only on the landing page, but banners as well a video advertisements will push the William Hill brand. New features recently added to the ESPN Goals app have been social media sharing, personalisation for club preferences and studio clips as well. The app is available through Apple iTunes, Google Play, Nokia’s OVI store, the Blackberry app world and Windows Phone marketplace.
Alan Fagan, group sales director EMEA at ESPN, said: “This new partnership demonstrates our ability to offer brands integrated, innovative and relevant advertising solutions, connecting them with football fans on whichever device is most relevant.”
